The homes are a bit newer in general and there is greater uniformity than with some of the other areas. The streets are all named after trees&#8211;Aspen, Peppertree, Smoketree etc. Price range: 50-300k.</p>

<p><strong>EPCOR</strong>, the Canadian company that purchased <strong>Arizona American Water, Bullhead City&#8217;s</strong> main water company, is replacing outdated <em><strong>water lines in Old Bullhead</strong></em>.</p>

4,000 feet of 8-inch pipe has been replaced during this 3-month long, half a million dollar project which is nearing its completion date.</p>
<p>The improved water pressure is expected to spur redevelopment in the blighted area between First and Seventh Streets, which <strong>Bullhead City</strong> has long needed. Work performed exclusively on the west side, between Highway 95 and Moser Avenue should also improve water pressure on the east side of the highway.</p>

<p>On November 20, 2012,<strong> Bullhead City</strong> Council unanimously approved a 40 year lease agreement for the land upon which will be built an 80 room <strong>Holiday Inn Express</strong>, complete with convention center and even a water park, just south of the intersection of Highway 95 and Silver Creek Rd (the 8.94 acre parcel is located at <em><strong>1300 Silver Creek Rd, Bullhead City AZ</strong></em> 86442), across the street from Lowe&#8217;s.</p>

<p>Steve Sunde, owner of local favorite <a href="http://activerain.com/blogsview/1565854/foam-froth-car-and-pet-wash-bullhead-city-az-86442"><strong>Foam and Froth Car Wash</strong></a> will be developing the hotel.</p>
<p>Steve said during the November 20 Council meeting that the project will use 70-80% local subs during this 36-month project, and he estimates that 20-30 new jobs will be created.</p>
<p>The lease will be fee-free, but in exchange, the City of <strong>Bullhead City</strong> will enjoy use of the conference center and water park at certain times for their meetings, community events and special events, in addition to the considerable revenues the project will add to City coffers.</p>
<p>The land had originally been a wastewater treatment facility, but ADEQ has issued a letter of clean closure, meaning the land has been cleaned up to their satisfaction and can now be safely developed.</p>
